Ugggh, Pork.  So this magazine is based in Eugene, and is unfortunately popular.  It’s filled to the brim with bullshit on every page:  tons of racism and quite a bit of misogyny and homophobia.  Lots of local business owners are friends with Aaberg and partners in the project.  Anyway, some friends of mine and I are trying to organize against them, although most of us are very inexperienced and can have trouble following through on things.  We recently contacted CALC, which is a local organization that does a lot of anti-fascist work, about them, and soon we’re probably going to start writing letters to try to get their advertisers to abandon them (hopefully forcing Pork to shut down).

Could you please show me actual examples of the “tons of racism and quite a bit of misogyny and homophobia” in PORK? Because I’m not seeing it. I’ve read every issue, and besides this year-old flap about one photo shoot, I don’t see this AT ALL.
